Reconsiderations
For the time being, I am 70% sure that I would want to join the seminary right out of high school. That doesn’t necessarily mean that I will become a priest.. I still have a lot of time to discern that.. But I feel as if He is calling me towards that direction. I still haven’t met a girl who has convinced me otherwise hahaha. But I do know that my heart will forever belong to God and I...

Funny article with simple, realistic ways to offer even the littlest things up to Jesus. Definitely gonna start doing the first one… Gave me a new tattoo idea, too :)
My friend also taught me that taking a cold shower can be a form of mortification =)

Portland bound tomorrow!
Are any of you followers familiar with Oregon? All I know is that I will be visiting the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows there, and along the way, my family and I will be stopping by the Abbey of New Clairvaux at Vina, California. It should be a spirit-filled vacation for all of us. The Lord surely knows that my parents need it most of all. They’ve been working so hard lately....

My life in a nutshell.
Me: Good afternoon Father!
Fr. B: Hello! So, when are you joining the seminary?
Me: Wait, what? Uhm, I mean, I don't.. I'm still discern-
Fr. B: Great! We need holy men like you.

Did you go to Steubenville on the Bayou this year? Fr. Leo and Steve were there and that was the first time I had heard or seen them! They’re sooo amazing.
Sadly, I didn’t, but I did hear about it! I’m glad you had a great time though. =] They really are inspiring to listen to.

CAN I COME?
I promise you if we’re able to get them to come to our school, I’ll let you hide in my backpack. Or get you a visitor pass. Whatever works better for you.

Plans for next year?
My high school, Justin-Siena, has had some sort of a knack for bringing famous Catholic musicians and speakers to come to our school:
Jason Evert
Steve Angrisano
Josh Blakesley
Apart from that, the Catholic parish on the other side of the street has had the same kind of success with its Catholic men’s conferences, bringing in people like:
Tim Staples
Fr. Bill Casey
Doug Barry

Secular Confusion
Yesterday, my mom and I decided to go to the mall. No big deal, right? But then I asked myself, “When was the last time I went to the mall?” And my mom reminded me, “Maybe a few months ago.”
At that moment, I remembered how much I didn’t like going to the mall. It’s hard to explain - a lot just happens in the small amount of time you’re there. Maybe...

Looking for a new "Saint Bracelet" to buy.
I just really wish you could choose which images and saints you could put on the bracelet! I’ve already got 12 images in my mind already, but I’m pretty sure that no bracelet will have the exact same images in my mind.

I remember going to Adoration one day, feeling a bit angry at how sinful our world was, and how many people weren’t willing to repent from their evil ways. And not only that, but there are so many lukewarm Catholics out there who seem oblivious about the power of the sacraments, their obligations as a Catholic in this world today, and how to defend their faith in a world that is quickly...

Reflections about going to Mass
I find it funny how even as a daily Mass goer since Kindergarten, whenever my mom or dad would tell me that it was time to go to Mass, there would always be that initial reaction to groan and ask, “But do I really have to?”
And the answer, of course, is usually: No, I don’t really have to.
I don’t need to go to Mass on Sunday when I already attended the 5:30 Mass on...
