Possible Inactivity..?
I already have a feeling that my life is slowly becoming unbalanced yet again.
I’ve always been unsure when it comes to evaluating my life. I think.
I think I need a retreat or something.
Oh wait. I signed up for one this month. Great.
But I don’t think I can wait for two more weeks until then.
I’m not exactly sure what’s wrong with me, but whatever it is, I just hope...

The Pope’s alarming message on American religious freedom
badwolfcomplex:
Today the Bishop of Rome warns American bishops that their country is losing its status as a nation that honors and promotes freedom of religion. And sad to say, he is right.
When he delivered this unhappy message, in an address to a visiting group of American prelates, Pope Benedict was not...

What good has the Catholic Church done?
nikosnature:
So, some people were wondering what good the Catholic Church, and it’s members have done to justify themselves. This is by no means an expansive list, but merely a sample.
-Protected Latin and Greek transcripts from the Barbarian invasions of the early middle ages.
-Designed the map of Europe through Benedictine Monasteries.
-Protected Europe from the Muslims who were advancing...

Hi guys! This is my friend Alex, (shes in the middle).
And guess what? She wants to be a nun! Specifically one of these fabulous Sisters! ( Las Servidoras del Señor y de la Virgen de Matará (The Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará) SSVM)
The only problem is she needs to pay off…

Ironic, right? Haha.
A friend of mine posted a video.
lovelyloretta:
It’s about why religion is bad but Jesus is good. I don’t want to get into it on his comments, because I know he’ll just roll his eyes, but I’m positive he posted it with the idea of me seeing it. Before I came back to college, we had a talk about why he does not like the Catholic Church and my responses to his reasons. Everything he said was either based off of lies that other...

So… this is awkward.

Okay, so how to start?
Tyler, the Creator..
So what exactly do people like about in his songs?
Because today, one of my friends “introduced” me to some of his songs, and quite frankly, I was disgusted at the lyrical content.
Call it creativity, originality, or talent - I still can’t seem to get over the vulgarity and the dark undertones in his music.
But I don’t want...
I do not love suffering itself; I ask it of God because I desire its fruits: it...

Any suggestions for a topic for a semester thesis...
I was thinking of doing something that has to do with the breakdown of families in today’s society. Maybe even explore the ideas presented in ”Humanae Vitae” and explain its relevance today.
It seems like a very controversial and complex topic to take upon, but it really interests me.
Any ideas?

Anonymous asked: Keep persevering! You can do it! The key to overcoming a habitual sin is frequent confession. Pray for the grace to really understand how much healing and grace flow into your soul from this Sacrament. TRULY. The Lord heals us. Also, think about one day at a time, not weeks or months. In each moment of temptation, DECIDE, Lord I turn away from this sin, and I ask for your protection. also call...

No Vacancy
The end of yet another busy Christmas season usually makes for a weary start of the new year as countless holiday decorations are stored away, schools and workplaces are reopened, and life suddenly goes back to “normal.”
Whatever that means, anyway.
Because normal, for me, means that I have to go back to a chaotic schedule of waking up at 5:30 AM for Mass; going to school...

I’m curious. What’s the most unusual penance a priest has given you after going to confession? Reblog and share!
To welcome Jesus with an open heart at Communion (this was before Mass, so makes sense haha). But yeah, I liked it since it was different from “Say 3 Our Fathers and 3 Hail Marys and 3 Glory Bes.”
35 Our Father’s, 30 Hail Mary’s,...

Anonymous asked: I just wanted to say thank you, for everything you post and say. I've been going through a rough time recently, and my relationship with God has suffered. I found your blog by chance, and it reminded me of so many things which I'd forgotten (many concerning prayer). So, thank you.
