Heh, I’m not so sure about the last line for this one. But maybe I’m just reading too much into this. Because when it comes to temptations, we’re better off running away from them than trying to face them - even as cowardly as that sounds. Then again, the devil actually did “come at” saints like St. Gemma Galgani, St. John Vianney, and Padre Pio, but they all triumphed in the end.

All things considered, though, I think I would rather pray to God for the strength to do His will and accept whatever sufferings may come my way than to spend time calling out Satan - because he’s out there all right, and he will do whatever he can to take you away from God.

But then again, I could just be reading too much into this.
