1. The Joy of Preparing for Finals

As bizarre as the title for this post is, I assure you that there is some metaphorical value in what I have to say (so don’t be so quick to judge me as some studious intellectual weirdo just yet).

And by all means, if you’ve still got some studying to do for finals, but you’re still on Tumblr and you’re reading this right now, feel free to log out of Tumblr right now (and try to stay off Facebook for more than 10 minutes this time) and hit those books like you’ve never hit them before.

In fact, feel free to take that last quip literally. Grab a hammer. Grab your books. Go crazy. It’ll relieve the nerves. Promise.

However, if you’re like me and absolutely love the thrill of sleep deprivation and procrastination in your life, then my friend, take a deep breath, read on, and know what it means to have joy in preparing for finals.

  2. For my US History public speaking project, I had to choose a topic to present to my class that had something to do with American History.

And seeing as how endless the possibilities were, I chose to talk about the history of toilet paper.

Read what my slightly unusual sense of humor whipped up:

Can you imagine a world without suffering? With no more pain. No more tears, no more wars, no more poverty?

Don’t worry; neither can I. BUTT let me take this down a notch. Imagine a world without toilet paper.

I mean, have you ever looked at that magnificent roll of plushy goodness that we often seem to take for granted; and wonder how in the world it ever came to be?

And can you imagine the PAINFUL, TAINTED, and STAINED dignities of those who had to live without toilet paper?

Because during the time of Colonial America, people had to use corncobs. Looking BACK, times must’ve been hard back then.

So it seems only appropriate that I’ll spare you the details from what people actually used before they thought of using corncobs.

  3. Raising your hand for the obvious question so you don’t get called on later.

    More here.

This never worked out for me.

  4. Finally finished with homework.

Might as well go to school now.. It looks like I’m getting 3 hours of sleep tonight.

Thank you Lord, for giving me the opportunity to love you this way.

Even though my mind is weary and my body is exhausted - I find hope in knowing that I will have a whole eternity to rest in Your presence.

And that will be more than enough to console me right now.

    I love you.
